Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

The Yoga for Health and Education Trust (YHET) recognises that part of its role, as a professional Yoga organisation, is to ensure the continued professional development (CPD) of its teaching members. View the YHET CPD policy

YHET CPD events are open to yoga teachers, student teachers and serious students from all yoga traditions though priority is given to YHET teachers and student teachers.  There was a CPD day for yoga teachers on 22nd November 2009 in Winslow, Bucks - click here for a review of this event.  Future CPD events will be listed on the Courses and Events section of the website and publicised in the YHET Magazine.

The Fundamentals of Yoga

The latest of these courses ran over five Saturdays at the Luton Campus of The University of Bedfordshire on 21st February, 21st March, 25th April, 16th May and 20th June 2009. It additionally included a residential weekend at Moore Place Hotel in Aspley Guise, Bedfordshire on 24th - 26th July 2009. This course is suitable for those looking to deepen their study of yoga. It also gives an insight into part time study and the level of commitment the degree course requires as it covers the Subtle Anatomy module of the Foundation Degree Course and participants completing the course gain 15 Credits towards the YHET Yoga Teaching Foundation Degree. Foundation Degree in Yoga Teaching

The Foundation Degree in Yoga Teaching (subject to validation) is a part time 30 month course run in conjunction with the University of Bedfordshire with the option to go on to a BA Honours in Yoga Studies.
